Mary Kay Roughneen
Soon after obtaining her degrees in industrial and interior design, Mary Kay Roughneen began designing and hand crafting custom accent pieces for her clients' homes. Using an elegant and eclectic mix of materials such as wood, copper, tin, and aluminum, she created one of a kind works that brought new life to her clients' living spaces. The scope of her work quickly expanded as clients' began utilizing her skills to design and install their kitchens, spas, and baths. In 1998, as the demand for kitchen and bath design work increased, Mary Kay founded Designs By Kate in Denver, Colorado. In 2004, Mary Kay returned home to the east coast and moved the Designs By Kate headquarters to Hyannis, Ma. Today, with offices in both Denver and Hyannis, the Designs By Kate team provides full service kitchen and bath design to clients in the Rocky Mountain and New England regions.
